What is an ATEL site assessment?

An ATEL site assessment is a free, on-site review of a business's technology infrastructure by ATEL Technologies, a licensed low voltage and IT contractor in Miramar, San Diego (CSLB #1121116, C-7 and C-10). A technician inspects cabling and telecom rooms, network and internet, security cameras and access control, phones and carrier bills, AV and life safety systems, then delivers written findings, prioritized recommendations and an itemized quote. It's the first step for any upgrade, move, buildout or security improvement - and there's no obligation to buy.

When to book an assessment

Moving or expanding

Plan cabling, network, security and phones before move-in day, not after.

Buildout or tenant improvement

Get low voltage scope right before walls close and inspections start.

After an incident

A break-in, outage or failed inspection usually reveals more gaps than one.

Aging systems

Grainy cameras, dropped calls, slow Wi-Fi or doors that stick.

Too many vendors

Consolidate cabling, security, phones and IT under one accountable team.

Bills keep climbing

Copper line price hikes and overlapping carrier services add up fast.

Site assessment FAQ

Is the ATEL site assessment really free?

Yes. The on-site assessment, written findings and quote are free, with no obligation to buy anything.

How long does a site assessment take?

Most assessments take 60 to 90 minutes on site. ATEL calls within 1 business day to schedule the visit and delivers written findings and an itemized quote within 2 business days after it.

What does the assessment cover?

Any combination of structured cabling and telecom rooms, network and internet, security cameras, access control and intercoms, intrusion and fire alarm communicators, phone systems and carrier bills, conference room AV and paging, and life safety communications such as ERRCS and area of refuge systems.

What should I have ready for the assessment?

Access to telecom or server rooms and ceiling spaces, a list of current vendors, recent phone and internet bills, and any known problems or upcoming changes such as a move, expansion or tenant improvement. Floor plans help but aren't required.

Will you assess systems another company installed?

Yes. ATEL assesses existing systems from any installer, identifies what can be kept, and recommends what to upgrade or replace.

Do you assess multiple locations?

Yes. ATEL assesses multi-site businesses across San Diego County and can review additional locations remotely using photos, documentation and bills.

I only need cloud services. Is there a faster option?

Yes. For internet and connectivity, contact center (CCaaS), SD-WAN and SASE, cybersecurity or cloud phone systems (UCaaS), our online Initial Qualification Assessments can be completed without a site visit.
