Business Development Manager

Location Information:
The position is onsite at ATEL's corporate office: 8447 Miramar Mall, San Diego CA 92121.
What will you do?
- You will have the opportunity to sell / market the following products:
- High speed internet services
- Business phone systems ‐ Premise based, or Cloud-based
- Hosted phones
- IT Cloud Services & MSP
- Voice and data cabling
- Fiber optic cabling
- Video surveillance
- Access control
- Maintenance contracts
- Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
- Identify, contact, and build relationships with prospective customers through a combination of telephone and in-person cold calls, networking, and referrals to obtain appointments.
- Leverage the CRM system to develop prospecting and sales strategy that ensures high activity and effective closing ratios.
- Book and install new lines/circuits/bundles/services to meet established monthly quotas.
- Design customized, cost-effective solutions for the client with sales engineering support.
- Submit pricing and pre-qualification requests reflecting the client's requirements.
- Maintain open and effective lines of communication throughout the organization to maintain a sense of teamwork, enthusiasm, pride, and quality workmanship.
How will you get here?
Education:
- Business or technical degree preferred.
Experience:
- Knowledge and passion for telecommunications, sales, customer service, marketing, IT, or other related fields.
- Business or technical degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Sales and Marketing principles and methods for promoting, demonstrating, and selling products and services- including but not limited to prospecting, negotiating, and closing techniques, marketing strategies, product presentations, and sales control systems.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms.
- Ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to self-motivate and self-manage.
- Strong judgment, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
- Strong problem-solving skills- identify, evaluate, and implement solutions to complex problems.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $55,000 - $75,000. This position is also eligible to receive commissions and bonuses ($100k+ Target Total Annual Compensation).
