WHAT'S HAPPENING IN
COMMUNICATIONS
NEC of America has announced its plan
to exit the on-premise unified
communications market outside Japan
over the coming years. This change
applies to all our on-premise UC
products. No changes to ATEL’s existing
commitments to support its NEC
customers.

MICROSOFT TEAMS UNBUNDLING
In April 2024, Microsoft launched updated
editions of its Microsoft 365 and Office
365 subscription services, which now do
not include the business collaboration
chat platform Teams. This change comes
six months after it unbundled M365/O365
and Teams in Europe amid a possible EU
antitrust fine. What this means for our
Teams users or anyone thinking to switch
to Teams?
