All of us at ATEL want you to know that as an essential business, we have been in full operation throughout the Covid-19 crisis. We support hospitals, cities, police & fire departments, plus many other critical emergency services. When you have determined it is safe, we are ready to help you get back to work. One thing we know for sure is that things are changing, and we have been helping many customers work remotely. Now the question is how this will change my daily work habits and what technology changes can help enhance my productivity and save time? As a business owner, I understand the concerns of keeping our employees active and employed. I do this using technology, for instance, having an application that forwards my office calls to my cell phone so that I can answer or decline calls even when I am away from my office or desk. Working remotely is now a necessity for many, and it is time to think about getting an improved auto-focus camera with better lighting with the increased demand for video conferencing. Luckily as time has evolved, we upgraded our phone system to an NEC IP-based: our sales staff, support staff, and technical staff can simply take their phones home, plug them into their home network, log into their computers through the cloud, and continue working as if they’re in the office. At ATEL, we had to re-think our network backup and security. I had servers at the office that needed to be accessed remotely by employees using a VPN. What happens if that employee passes a virus to my system? How secure is my data? We have found a great solution in the cloud. Let us know if you are interested. Stay Safe.
